Job Summary
As a Front of House (FoH) Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service across weddings, events, and number nine restaurant. You will represent Chapel House Estate with professionalism, attention to detail, and a positive, guest-focused approach. Your commitment to high standards and sustainable practices will help ensure every guest enjoys a warm, memorable experience.
Roles and responsibilities:
Guest Service & Experience
Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
Anticipate guest needs and deliver a high-quality, personalised experience.
Respond to guest queries and feedback politely and effectively.
Communicate the venue’s sustainability efforts where appropriate (e.g., local produce, low-waste initiatives).
Event & Restaurant Support
Assist with the smooth running of weddings, events, and restaurant service.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, including kitchen and bar teams.
Set up and clear down dining areas, event spaces, and service points.
Ensure service runs efficiently by following instructions and supporting team needs.
Sustainability & Environmental Practices
Follow correct recycling, composting, and general waste procedures to reduce environmental impact.
Minimise energy and water use by switching off equipment, utilising natural light/ventilation, and reporting inefficiencies.
Support low-waste service practices, including mindful use of resources and consumables.
Operational Standards
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all front-of-house areas.
Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and food hygiene standards.
Assist with stock checks, replenishment, and correct storage procedures.
Handle glassware, tableware, décor, and linen with care and attention.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in hospitality or events (preferred but not essential).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Commitment to sustainability and environmentally conscious practices.
Driving license required
