Job Summary
As a Chef de Partie, you will support the delivery of exceptional food across weddings, private events, and restaurant services. You will be responsible for running your section efficiently, preparing high-quality dishes, and contributing to the Estate’s culinary identity.
This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated chef who is passionate about seasonal cooking, sustainability, and working with homegrown produce. You will work closely with the senior kitchen team to ensure consistency, creativity, and excellence in every service.
Kitchen Porter Responsibilities:
Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standard across weddings, events, and restaurant service.
Manage your designated section during service, ensuring smooth, efficient operation.
Support menu preparation, mise en place, and daily kitchen tasks.
Maintain exceptional food quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and adherence to food safety procedures.
Ensure your section is clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards at all times.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and wider kitchen team to deliver seamless service.
Support junior team members with guidance and training where required.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and respectful kitchen culture.
Communicate effectively with Front of House to ensure smooth coordination during service.
Sustainability & Estate Ethos
Champion Chapel House Estate sustainability values in daily kitchen practices.
Utilise estate-grown herbs, fruits, and vegetables wherever possible.
Support low-waste cooking methods, responsible ingredient use, and eco-friendly kitchen operations.
Help maintain high standards of environmental responsibility, including recycling, composting, and reducing single-use plastics.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a CDP or strong Commis Chef ready to step up.
Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Passion for seasonal, sustainable, and locally sourced cuisine.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to high standards.
Work Environment & Requirements
Fast-paced kitchen environment requiring stamina, focus, and teamwork.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, especially during peak wedding season.
Involves standing for long periods and some manual handling of equipment and ingredients.
