Stays
Stay at Chapel House Estate, surrounded by 35 acres of rustic wildness and considered landscaping.
Whether you are a night owl or an early bird, the estate provides a unique backdrop for relaxing, entertaining, and celebrating in the most private country settings.
Within the Estate are Chapel House, Chapel House Cottage, and nine Hideaway Lodges, which can sleep up to 34 people.
With panoramic views, beautiful formal gardens, a wild apple orchard, and our very own No 9 restaurant in the secluded walled courtyard, Chapel House Estate offers an unforgettable destination experience.
Chapel House
Built in 1290, the Chapel House is over 700 years old and resides at the heart of the Estate. Effortlessly capturing the inherent charm and character of the Estate and its stunning gardens, it is one of the oldest buildings in Thanet.
Explore the large modern kitchen, comfortable snug with a log burner, and elegant garden room with double doors that open onto the York Flagstone terrace and sunken pond. Entertain your loved ones at Chapel House.
A beautifully styled honeymoon suite on the first floor has a free-standing bath and an ensuite bathroom. This leads out onto the terrace overlooking the gardens.
In addition, three charming double bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, complete the experience, plus a bunk bedroom with adult-size bunk beds.
Hideaway lodges
The lodges are open-plan with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors that open onto the west paddock.
The accommodation includes an ensuite bathroom, television, air conditioning, local complimentary snacks, and a payable mini fridge. The nine Hideaway Lodges are tucked away in the picturesque landscape, surrounded by the historical district of Thanet.
They are close to the thriving towns of Ramsgate, Margate, Broadstairs, Whitstable, and the historic city of Canterbury, offering traditional pubs and restaurants for visitors to enjoy. The lodges feature fresh country style and beautiful furnishings, with luxurious contemporary design complemented by magnificent, far-reaching views.
Guests can unwind with a stroll around the estate from their doorstep or visit the historic yet vibrant surrounding villages. Each of the Hideaway Lodge is named after birds spotted on the estate.
“We stayed the night in one of the Hideway Lodges, which was a great experience. The rooms are a very spacious, nicely furnished, well decorated and have a well stocked mini-bar. The bed was so comfortable that I have enquired where I can purchase the mattress.” Martin
