The airy, rustic traditional old Kent barn, known as The Old Malt Granary is permanently set up for indoor ceremonies on The Chapel House Estate. This converted former working farm building, next door to Thorne Barn ensures that no matter what the weather or time of the year you will always have a wet weather or plan B contingency on your big day.
Seating 150 the rustic barn (120 downstairs and 30 on the mezzanine), previously used to change cereal grain gathered on the Thorne Farm into malt to be used in brewing beer, has been lovely converted to create the perfect indoor ceremony area. With seating for 30 guests upstairs and 120 down stairs.
With a mezzanine floor, you can say your vows whilst your videographer and photographer also capture you from above or for weddings of less than 120 a choir can sing from the glass-paneled upper tier.
With heating, air conditioning and surround sound the Old Malt Granary has been designed with your every need in mind.
After your indoor ceremony, the Old Malt Granary bi-folding doors can be flung open, with drinks and canapes served on the Dew Lawn next to the Dew pond adjacent to the Old Malt Granary.
The Old Malt Granary is available for indoor weddings throughout the seasons and gives you a backup plan to ensure your day unfolds without a hitch!
Despite being lucky, no one likes to think about it raining on their big day, so at Chapel House, we have given you the perfect stress-free rain plan, The Old Malt Granary provides the perfect indoor ceremony to help you to alleviate some pre-wedding wet weather jitters.
